1) If you log to a game room and it states there is a java update that needs to be installed, please follow the directions it gives you. There is a link the message provides to the java download page. Follow the directions it gives.
2) You must restart your computer after installing the update.
3) Come back to the website and log to a game room. You may get a pop-up that asks if you want to run the application. Click "yes". Now you should be able to access the game room.

    ANSWERS:

    1. What are the Minimum System Requirements?
    128 MB of Ram , 200 Pentium Class,
    Microsoft Internet Explorer, Microsoft Java Virtual Machine or Sun's Java Virtual Machine, Macromedia Flash, Macromedia Shockwave.

    IamGame allows you to have multiple game windows open at one time. The more game windows you have open the less sytem resources you have. If you start having problems with the games close some of the game windows you have open.

     

    2. Why can't I log in?
    You should have been sent a confirmation email after you signed up at IamGame. This email contains you Username and Password. Please make sure the Username and Password you are using corresponds to the Username and Password in the email.

    You may need to delete Temporary Internet Files and Cookies and re-enter your Username and Password.

     

    3. Why can't I see the chat area?
    The first time you play a game at IamGame it may take up to 10 minutes to download the chat.

    You must install the latest versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer, Microsoft Java Virtual Machine or Sun's Java Virtual Machine.

    You may need to delete Temporary Internet Files and Cookies and re-enter your Username and Password.

     

    4. How do I use my iBucks?
    Use your iBucks to enter special Tournaments.

     

    5. Why won't my game load?
    Make sure you are loading one game at a time (opening one and letting it fully load before opening another).

    Make sure you are not running any memory intensive programs in the background.

    6. When will I be billed for VIP?
    Your payment, if you choose to become a VIP member, will be deducted at specified intervals. For example, if you've chosen a One Month Subscription option, and your subscription began on the 15th of the month, it will be automatically be renewed on the 15th of each month thereafter.

     

    7. How do I cancel my VIP membership?
    Although we hope our VIP Members never find cause to cancel their VIP Membership, we do realize that there may be times when a VIP Member may choose to do so. Therefore, we have made this step as easy as possible:

    8. Why is my game not running correctly?
    Go to Tools at the top of you main screen, then go to Internet Options, Temp Internet File, click on Setting, 3/4 of the way down it will say Amount of Disk Space _____MB. Please make sure that this is over 650.

    Go to Tools, Internet Options, click on Security at the top beside General, click on Custom Level, scroll down a little, you well see Run ActiveX Controls and Plug-ins, please made sure these are enabled. If you scroll down a little further you will see Cookies, please also make sure that this say enable.

    You may need to delete Temporary Internet Files and Cookies and re-enter your Username and Password.

    Defragment your hardrive and run Scandisk.

    Reboot your machine.


    9. How do I change my monitor resolution?
    Click on the START menu button at the bottom of your screen. Select SETTINGS, then CONTROL PANEL. A new window will open. Open the panel named DISPLAY. Under the SETTINGS tab, there should be a slider to alter your screen resolution. When you decide on a resolution, press the APPLY button for the changes to take effect. Windows NT Users: Always press the TEST button before applying the new screen resolution to ensure the new resolution is compatible with your video adapter.


    10. Why do I see the Re-Connect button?
    Make sure first that you do not have two of the same game open. If we are making any updates to the game (at which point IamGame sysops will let you know) there will be a delay and you may receive this message.

    You may need to delete Temporary Internet Files and Cookies and re-enter your Username and Password.

    Defragment your hardrive and run Scandisk.

    Reboot your machine.

    It is important to know that during peak usage times, internet lag may appear. If running through the optimization steps above do not help, please try back in a few minutes. If you are on a dial-up, log off, reboot your machine and log back on again.

    11. Why am I experiencing Freezing / Lag?
    Open Internet Explorer, and go to TOOLS.

    Click on INTERNET OPTIONS.

    A window will pop up, in the middle you should see Temp Internet Files - click on DELETE.

    Another window will pop up, please put a check in the box and click ok.

    Right beside that Delete button is a SETTINGS button - click on this and go to check for newer versions of stored pages and make sure -- every time you visit page -- is marked.

    Close all windows, reboot your system and that should fix the problem.
